THE FLASH...

"Of all the idiotic, boneheaded, glory grabbing moves, haven't you ever heard of teamwork?"
-- Green Lantern "Brave and the Bold"

>

Yes, that's our flash...boneheaded and idiotic. And yet we still love him. How could you possibly not? He's the
light-hearted, good-natured one of the group that keeps you from wanting to rip them all out of the television set
and start screaming at them for being so dull. He's also the youngest, my guess is seventeen at the start, twenty-one
by Star-Crossed, and the one thing that he just can't do fast enough in the JL's opinion, is grow up.

THE FASTEST MAN ALIVE...

Identity: Wallace "Wally" Rudolph West
Birthday: January 16
Height: 6'
Weight: 175 lbs.
Eye Color: Green
Hair Color: Red
Raised in: Keystone City, KA
Home Town: Central City, MO
Relatives: Parents Rudolph and Mary West, Uncle Barry Allen (silver-age Flash and mentor), Aunt Iris
West-Allen, Grandfather Ira West, Aunt and Uncle Charlotte and Edgar Rhodes, Cousin Inez Rhodes, Cousins
Don and Dawn Allen, Cousins-in-law Melon Thawne and Jeven Ognats, Cousin's son Bart Allen (Impulse),
Cousin's daughter Jenni Ognats. He marries Linka Park in the comic continuum but there's nothing about her in
the series, well, there's nothing about any of his family in the series but they should be understood.
Powers: Can run at light speed, by tapping into the Speed Force. Flash can also run through solids, causing them
to explode. Flash can also lend his super-speed to other objects.
Origins: Wally possesses a unique ability to tap into an energy known as the Speed Force that gives him his
superhuman speed. Before he was the Flash, he was Kid Flash and assumed the mantle of the Flash when his
mentor Barry Allen died during the Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Wally is the youngest and most childish member of the League. Often the jokester of the League he enjoys stardom
and the popularity he gets from being the Flash. Whereas the other members of the league are out to save the world,
Flash is also looking to impress the ladies. nonetheless, his super speed is an invaluable asset to the League, and
nobody can respond faster to emergencies than the Flash.

PERSONALITY TYPE...ESFP

According to the Myers Briggs Personality Assessment, Flash is an ESFP. That means he's a 100% Extrovert,
22% Sensing, 89% Feeling, and 44% Perceiving. Extroverts are outspoken (who would have guessed that Flash
was outspoken?) and look outside themselves (unlike their Introverted counterparts who look inside themselves)
sometimes even for blame("'Take the controls, Flash.' Does anybody bother to ask if Flash knows how to fly?").
Sensing means that he focuses more on the here and now not concerning himself with the consequences of his
actions. Feeling bases decisions on values rather than logic. Perception means spontaneous (err...duh) and flexible
in approach (compared to judging which is more concrete in planning).

ESFPs make up 10% of the population.

According to Joe Butt's personality assessment:
"'Where's the party?' ESFPs love people, excitement, telling stories and having fun. The spontaneous, impulsive
nature of this type is almost always entertaining...SPs sometimes think and talk in more of a spider-web approach...
[ESFPs] jump from thought to thought in mid-sentence, touching here or there in a manner that's almost incoherent
to the listener..."

From another report:
"ESFPs' tolerance for anxiety is the lowest of all types. Anxiety is avoided by ignoring the dark side of a situation for
as long as possible. They are inclined to be somewhat self-indulgent...ESFPs prefer active jobs...Outstanding in
public relations, they love working with people...they are good at working with people in crisis, a facility often leads
ESFPs into social work."

VOICE ACTOR...MICHAEL ROSENBAUM

The man behind the mask...er voice... Michael Rosenbaum. Suave, handsome, debonair, and quite possibly
suffering from skitzophrenia. He plays Lex Luthor in the television series, "Smallville", but he voices for the super
hero, the Flash...huh. Well, whatever floats your boat, Michael. Your still the hottest bald guy on the planet Earth.

Wow, that skitz remark seemed kinda harsh...I actually love Michael. He's a great guy from what I know of him.
I'm a huge Smallville fan so I have the DVDs. Listening to him on commentary is so wierd...well...you start getting
mental images of Flash commenting on Lex Luthor so it's an odd experience...especially when Michael starts making
flying sounds for some of the scenes when Kent is flying. His sense of humor is great, and he seems more like Flash
than Lex by a long shot.

Michael has done a lot of work in film as well as stage acting. Some of his films include Sorority Girls and he's the
voice of Ruffshod in the film, Racing Stripes. It's just weird to see the guy with hair.
