Elsewhere, away, abroad, near sun

At home I sat and thought ahead
How life would be if it were done
Elsewhere, away, abroad, near sun;
So thinking I went to bed.

In bed I lay and dreamt verbose
My mind at play and free to run
Elsewhere, away, abroad, near sun;
So dreaming I arose.

And so I packed all I had done
In my chest with bows and ties
Parting with gifts and tears and sighs;
Elsewhere, away, abroad, near sun.

Elsewhere, away, abroad, near sun
Is where I am, with a fresh start;
But from our chests none can depart,
So from myself I could not run.
