What The Clerk Said To The Dog Who Wanted To Send Six Woofs By Telegram
The following short piece is in response to this article in the Guardian (UK paper) about the unveiling of the funniest joke in the world. Part way through the article, the European "penchant for off-beat surreal humour" is discussed, and the joke which I used to write the piece below is used to illustrate this humor.
"Add four more Woofs," the clerk explained,
"you'll make the same expense..."
The dog growled low and snapped at him:
"But ten Woofs make no sense!"
