The orange is the only fruit
with which no words can rhyme;
to even think of trying it
is just a waste of time.
But just omit the letter "n",
and have yourself an "orage",
or drop the "g" and keep "orane",
then rhyme with "pane" or "porridge".
And if you drop the letter "e",
"orang" is what you'll get,
or drop the "o" and get a "range",
and rhyme without regret.
But all these "ifs" and "ors" are flawed,
for words cannot be squeezed,
unlike the orange which, unrhymed,
hangs brightly in the trees.
