Little kids and fluffy kittens
- wobbly legs and big blue eyes -
some in baskets, some in mittens
evoke laughter and surprise.
Both bump into chairs and tables,
both are cuddly, cute and fun,
both are featured in our fables,
both like basking in the sun.
But when kittens are run over,
when they drown through human faults,
when they're killed by Rex or Rover,
little kids become adults.
