To give you an example, back in school I was one of the first and few metal-heads in my year. Whenever conversation arose about music, my views would always be shunned because of my tastes. Whatever band I cared to name, they would dismiss it with "they shit on their fans, what sort of idiot likes them". No matter who I brought up, this would be their reply. 'Scuse me, Captain Dimwit, but why do you instantly assume that a band that plays rock music would want to cover their fans in excrement? As if the idea of defecating on one's fans goes hand-in-hand with rock music, like the Gibson Les Paul. The only band that I've ever seen actually do this was Dillinger Escape Plan, and if any of my trendy adversaries have a problem with this, I'd love to see them take it out with the band. Hell, I'd pay to see it, because DEP would turn up in an armoured tank, chewing casually on chunks of raw meat, step up and RUIN THEIR SHIT!
But it's not like any of the brainwashed dolts of my class have actually heard of them, so where did this idea develop from? They seem to think of it as the metal equivalent of miming, which is mandatory at a pop concert. Besides, if I had to choose between literally being shat on, or metaphorically being shat on by corporate businessmen that call themselves musicians releasing mindless guff to the brainwashed radio masses while sitting in their L.A. mansions laughing it up, then I think I'd rather have a brown-shower, thanks. While the popular music industry churns out Idol after Idol, I'll stick to bands like Metallica that surprise fans with free concerts.
Another type of close-minded idiot I hate is the homophobe. Those that are out-and-out 'phobes aren't even worth talking to, because you can file them away with the pro-war American red-neck hicks that parade their second amendment with joy. They're the ones that claim the bible said "Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve". Yeah, but are you really going to rely on a book that blatantly ignores the existence of dinosaurs? No. But worse than this are the ones that try to disguise their single-mindedness with the aphorism "as long as they don't flaunt it in front of me". Yeah, as if that's viable, just like I don't like mushrooms and demand that they aren't eaten in front of me at a busy dinner table. Wake up to the fact that there is a whole other world to the tiny one you are living in. The attitude of homophobes is typically that gays are some sort of inferior species, like we shouldn't judge them on their personality or background, just that they dig having it off with members of the same sex. Never mind that they could be a rainforest-saving, charity-donating, loving humanitarian philanthropist, or they could be an insane psychotic paedophile that preys on young orphans. Let's ignore the person and judge them on which entrance they take it up. Great idea, jerk, perhaps we should start dictating what films we watch by the number of characters called Steve, or the number of M's in the film title.
Then of course, you have the brainwashed celebrators of Saddam's capture, all the idiots that tried to justify a war with one man's head. Like one nut-job is really worth killing all those innocent Iraqis. They defend their view with "but he killed so many people, it had to be done". So when a certain terrorist network aims its firepower at America, their reason being that Bush has slaughtered many innocent civilians, it's justifiable? No, the self same people are in uproar. Yet logic dictates that they would apply their own ideals and thus understand the Al-Queda's reasoning, but they just don't see it. They don't see that Bush and his British puppet are no better than the terrorists they condemn. No cause or political statement justifies the bombing and killing of humans, not even Saddam Hussein. I'm not saying that SH should be allowed to run around free despite of the thousands of deaths on his non-existent conscious, but to kill for his capture is an unpardonable crime. Bush and his circus clowns are to blame for the freedom of terrorists such as Hussein in the first place. Take Osama Bin Laden for instance. There is substantial evidence to prove that America were more than aware of his plans for attacks, but took no action to prevent this from happening. Then, just days after September 11th, during the "no flying" period, they flew a secret aircraft around the USA picking up all of Bin Laden's relatives, before flying them home to safety, without taking heed to the fact that some could have information, or could even have been suspects. Turns out some of them were involved.
The governments of Britain and America are grade-A morons, and yet so many people shut their eyes and ears to this because the mainstream media isn't brave enough to publish the facts. There are certain facts about the 9/11 situation that don't add up, and if people stood up and took notice of these, they would see the leaders of our only superpower were largely to blame for it ever happening. Since the attack, Bush has completely prevented any investigation into it. Strike you as odd? Did you know, for instance, that Clinton's US government continued to refuse to attempt Bin Laden's capture, even though they had the information to prove his involvement in early 90's terrorist attacks, and had the resources and chances to capture him?
George W Bush (the W stands for Wanker, if you're interested) is so ignorant, not only to general common sense, but to the basic rules of the English language. While the other governments of the war happilly drop bombs with the frequency of corn-logs in the toilet of a curry house, as part of what they call The War On Terrorism, Bush continues to refer to it as the War On Terror. What, are we going to wage war on everyone who has ever felt frightened or scared? Apparently, we misunderestimated him...we are to entrust our lives to a man who doesn't even realise he is using words that aren't in the English language.
Yet people are so blind to these facts. I'll bet any pro-war twat that has taken the time to read this will remain ignorant to the facts, as if their "Hussein needed to be captured" crap outweighs valid arguments. They think that their repeated response is somehow going to make me go "Ahh yes, I see now. So what you're saying is I ignore the facts of the American cover-up and the deaths of thousands, because as a result of waging a war on a country that had NO weapons of mass destruction, we captured one bearded SOB. Great, I understand now."
