AUGUST 24, 2003: MYSTERY THEATRE 3000- THE MOVIE
I normally dont use the computer on Sundays because I use it in excessive amounts as it is. However I have been hankering to see Rules Of Attraction for a while and hired it on DVD. I dont understand my compulsion to see this film so I was waiting for it to actually be available on video, but it seemed that each time that I wanted it someone else had hired and were late returning it. So before I watch it I wish to discuss the films that I saw yesterday- Tuck Everlasting (2002, "Dont fear dying, fear the unlived life"), which had its merits despite being a poorly acted family drama. But the one film that I really wanted to discuss was the funniest film that I have seen since Dream With The Fishes, Mystery Science Theatre 3000- The Movie. That film was such a laugh. The basic premise is a man in outer space with some terrible 80s robots with personalities. They are sent a mystery science film to watch, which you watch with them. What I mean by this is that through the entire film it is like someone has sat in the back of the theatre illegally taping This Island Earth and you can see the other movie goers, and hear their pre-pubescent jibes at the film. I know I shouldnt have laughed at it but it was funny. Childishly funny and I recommend it to anyone for a bit of light-hearted stupidity.

STUPID ANIMAL
Not only is my cat so dumb that he eats sponges, cheese and onion chips, in fact everything except Lolly Gobble Bliss Bombs, but he is uncoordinated as well. This evening he was sleeping on top of the heater, room enough for two cats his size, when all of a sudden he rolls right off and flops onto the floor. He stands up, looks around to make sure I wasnt watching then walked off with his head in the air feigning indifference. He really is a stupid cat.

Horoscope
Valid during several days: This is not a time when you should wait for things to come to you. But you can do quite well with it if you communicate with people, look for opportunities, especially in business, and look for good items to buy or sell. This influence confers the ability to see events clearly and to make plans intelligently, which will serve you well in any of these matters. You are able to put yourself across with confidence and warmth, which will make other people believe you. They will also respect your sincerity and the clarity with which you communicate your ideas. Even if you tell someone something he or she doesn't want to hear, you can do it so that the other person will feel good about you for saying it. This is an excellent time to take up the study of a new subject, and the more abstract the better. But you also have the ability now to translate abstract ideas into practical reality, which can be very useful in organizing and planning your activities in any sphere of life. On the psychological level you can expect a period of optimism and positive thinking, fortunately based on reality. You have big ideas, but you have the basic sense to understand what can and cannot be done. This contributes greatly to your effectiveness at this time. (Astro.com)
