AUGUST 14, 2003: NEW PICS
Yesterday for the DNA tests Missy and myself had to get passport photographs taken- this is hers. It took several shots for her to look at the camera and I think the only reason that she wasn't running was she was sitting on a stool 2 1/2 feet off the ground- she isn't even that tall! Her eyes are surprisingly green today, generally they are grey, and blue when she is up to trouble. Here she is:

I woke with a really bad feeling this morning that is still plaguing me. I don�t think it is in relation to the dentist visit tonight, I already know how terrible that will be. I promise I will be freaking out more as I get there. I almost hope something happens and they have to close for the day. Unlikely, things just don�t go my way all that often. I�m feeling pretty crappy about everything actually, and my intuition is generally right. Argh, I feel like hell.

REALITY JUNK
Whist reading energy�s 100 things I realized that there are several things that we are complete opposites on. That really isn�t surprising, but I came to some realizations.
Firstly, I am an absolute reality television junkie. Okay, so that isn�t completely true, I love to watch people compete- I love games. For example, I basically dislike the premise of Big Brother, yet the idea of watching people compete against one another is great. I especially like to watch people cry.
I have absolutely no interest in the whole Idol phenomenon (they all sound the same to me but there are some hotties) but I let Missy watch it because it is a cracker to watch her dance.
Essentially what I mean, other than I watch too much television, is that if there is an element of competition then I�ll probably watch it. I watch Wheel Of Fortune and The Price Is Right. But I do have my favourites.
Last night I watched the first episode to this series of The Amazing Race, and wished that they would have an Australian version where you stayed within the country and did it individually. Really, it would make it a really different show. I am hoping the virgins or the NFL wives win. Especially the latter as I think they got screwed over just a little too early into the show.
But my all time absolute favourite reality competition is The Mole. I LOVE that show. I love Grant Bowler (almost as much as Jeff Probst, whom endeared himself to me in Survivor: Africa by being completely biased), I love the fact that I generally have no idea who it is and having to guess.
And from that point you can guess the whole reason that I like reality television- unlike everything the ending is unpredictable. As anyone who has read more than one page (going out to the person who read EVERY SINGLE PAGE) you would know that my biggest problem with films is that I have watched so many, or have a brain for logic, and endings are terribly predictable. So not the case with reality television.
As for The Mole, my pic would be Shaun, or Petrina, but it is so hard this time. People know that if they act like the mole then they are going to throw people off the scent, so the mole could be acting like the mole so as not to look like the mole, or not acting like the mole so as not to be suspected. It would be so much easier if I was on the show (like in series one where the woman found out who it was by sneaking into the moles note book and realizing that everything that was written was a load of crap). Argh, I have to wait until Sunday for The Mole. For mow I will content my miserable self in the knowledge that I have a wonderful daughter and great hair.
