Abilities: Pen is a Neyaphem mutant, equipt with an unusual healing factor, that while slower than the typical sort, does allow him to take much more damage without death as it is not relying on blood or oxygen to heal him. In addition to heightened senses and strength Van is also equipt with a neyaphem form, in which his skin becomes a bruised black, his eyes a glowing red, complete with powerful fangs and claws.
Van is now equipt with Janus reality altering powers, though to what cost, and what extent remains to be seen.
Skills: Over five thousand years of memories give Pen a wide spectrum of knowledge, combat training and various other skills.
When Van's father learned that Van was falling for Eve, and that Van himself was a mutant, he killed him, and in that moment Pen emerged to offer the same treatment to the man.
Now Pen is dealing with his second chance at life, as well as coming to terms with his past lives....all of them, and all the expiriences and nightmares they bring.
Even more recently Van has opened X-Factor Investigations, a private investiagtions group dedicated to helping those the police would fail to. X-Factor's work in Mutant Town has quickly earned them a deep amount of respect in the community. Though alcoholism and the demons inside are forever raging to be free once more.
In the end the price of killing Janus, and saving the world, was that 90% of earths mutants were depowered. Van is finally free of Janus and finally the question is posed...
