The life of the Mutant King is one bathed in blood and tragedy. Born out of adultery and abandoned by his mother to an abusive father, Adam Corgan was chased from home at gunpoint at the age of eight. He found himself on the streets of Dublin, eventually joining Nikoli Romanoff's gang of car jackers, The Son's of Stalin.

Corgan would come to befriend Pen Larkin and Tyler Ward, both of whom would go on to their own rather large dealings in the mutant world.

Falling in love with a woman, having a son with her. Corgan left his life of small time crime to pursue things more reputable. The details of Sara and Nathan Corgan's death is now uncertain, but it resulted in the birth of Amorphus, and he hasn't stopped killing since.

At first when he came to America, he tried to befriend his long lost half brother, but different ideals, and a Gibson/Corgan style falling out set the stage for one of the cruelest, bloodiest rivalrys the world has ever known.

Amorphus reforms Magneto's Brotherhood as his own, taking in powerful new members. Though their glory rose and fell, Amorphus himself could boast the highest kill count of any living person on the planet, at one time. Which included several X-Men and Xavier students.

Amorphus, in a moment of weakness, fathered a son, passing down the bloodline of power.
Eventually Amorphus completely lost his mind, and the flimsy moral code he had was left behind. He began killing without discrimination, mutant, human, women and children. A plan was hatched, by a former Brotherhood trainer, Amorphus' son, his grandson, and his arch enemy, Wade Gibson.

By plans end Amorphus was defeated, his head taken by his half brother...and the Mutant King was no more.

Buried along the coast of Ireland by surviving Brotherhood members, Amorphus body lay undisturbed until he was selected by the Anti-Phoenix Force.

Now he lives again, and already he's putting plans into motion with the success and charisma that he has always been known for. His plan is to assemble a new team...or purhaps several. He plans to recover lost operatives..but beyond that, who could tell.

It is uncertain in what condition he's come back. Where is the line between Amorphus and the A.P.F. Is there one?

Will he seek to free his mutant brothers? Or destroy all life?

Only time will tell...
