hellygoodbye - self titled
I cant help but adore an album like this. The band is quite obviously all about fun. The happy-go-lucky lyrics and upbeat music automatically get you hooked. Sure, there isnt a whole lot of substance and deep meaning to ponder with these tunes but theres a hell of a lot of fun to be had. This really reminds me of a bunch of kids fooling around in the basement with a keyboard; in a good way.
If you love synth keyboards and nerdy 80's pop-rock, if you're sick of all of this teen angst and clich heartache one-liners, this is the breath of fresh air that you are longing for.
Forrest Kline's vocals have a way of making everything he sings, serious or not, sound sincere... and enjoyed to the extreme.
For a sense of excitement, a cavalcade of fun, and a subtle nerdy feeling, please delve. |
