| as horrible and heartless as some people are in the crimes they commit, i don't believe the death penalty should be legal. i don't think anyone's wrong-doing gives a group of people the right to play God and decide who should die and who should just get away with x-amount of time in prison. i think life in a very strict, very confined, prison would be just as bad, if not worse, a punishment. i understand that people were lost, people were hurt, families torn apart. but since when did "he did it first" become justified? |
