| as much as you tell me that i am going to burn in a scorching hell for this one, i am pro-choice. there are certain situations in which i believe an abortion should be an option. a big part of this comes from me putting myself in the situation. if i were still in the sixth grade, when my process of becoming a woman began, and i was raped... i know that i would not want to have a child. let alone one that would forever remind me of what was done to me. one that would probably turn out unhealthy in a body that couldn't care for it yet. a pregnancy which may very well put both of the lives involved in jeopardy. i try not to be a hypocrite. there are abortions existing in which the pregnancy is stopped before the baby even forms. it's more risky when it comes to afterwards fertility, but it exists. and even if abortions were illegal, women would just end up getting secretive, unhealthy, dangerously performed abortions by whackos in their basements. a very wise man once said, "a woman's body is her own fuckin' business." as selfish as that may seem in the situation, it's the cold hard truth. |
