After years of having their annual managers' meeting in local hotel ballrooms, Progressive Insurance outgrew the ability for any of the hotels to host their event. The solution? Take a warehouse area and turn it into a ballroom. Their training building houses one of the larges body shops in the city, used to train their claims adjusters to investigate accidents. Clearing out the dozens of wrecked cars, boats and motorcycles was the easy part. Converting a space that was originally a warehouse into a posh hotel ballroom, while working around the education schedules that employees jobs depended upon was the tricky part.
After careful planning and design, we were able to carpet the entire room and add lighting and scenic design to match the theme that they wanted to portray to their managers. As always, the message comes first! Each year we were able to meet and exceed their concepts. After only a couple of years they outgrew the ability to use this space as well. Progressive insurance is now one of the nation's largest automotive insurers. Now that's progress!
