| The disaster-prone new hall committee was dealt a body-blow this month when the company set to provide the roof for the new hall pulled out of the deal due to problems within the steel industry. As the new roof was to be supplied for next-to-nothing, the committee suddenly found itself short of �40,000 and on the look-out for an amazingly generous benefactor! With the old hall new a pile of rubble it is difficult to see how the project can continue at this time |
