Notes

My first paintball gun, bought brand new, straight stock out of the box. After a while, the expansion chamber and bottom line setup were added. This created a problem with degassing the gun. So much CO2 remained in the x-chamber that when degassing, the escaping CO2 put frost all over the ASA and tank valve and also froze the tank o-ring, causing it to swell excessively. The PMI slide check was added to fix this problem, which created the problem of routing the air line. The slide check was positioned to face the front of the gun so that there would be room to run the steel-braided hose back to the ASA. I cut and bent a bar of aluminum to make a very cheap but sturdy drop forward to make everything fit together perfectly. While planned to be one of the first upgrades, the Xcel barrel became the last addition later on due to many backorder problems with Custom Products barrels at the time. Over the course of owning the Spyder, the trigger was tweaked with to make it as short and light as possible. A lighter spring was added, and layers of electrical tape put on the sear stop and front of the trigger to take up any slack in the pull.
