Ever wanted to put together a puzzle, but hated getting close to being done, and finding out that all the pieces weren't included? Hate the fact that puzzles are so messy to pick up? Tired of the kids, dog, or cousin Joey chewing on the pieces making parts of the picture unrecognizable? If the answer to these questions is yes, then this is the title for you. Well, MAYBE. |
| Alright, so its just a simple puzzle game. So why am
I reviewing it? Well, its for CD-i isn't it? Since a few
people have asked whats it about, and it just happens
that I have aquired WAAAY to many copies of this title
(several still shrinked) I figured I'd go ahead and give
you folks the lowdown on this one. First bear in mind.... its not got a save feature, so if you're going to play, make sure you have enough time to complete the difficultly level you |

But sound.... what happened? I first thought that I
had a defective disc, so I got out another, but there
isn't any music and barely any effects other than clicks.
This is weak, but understandable in the long run. After
all, the more free tunes, the less pictures. Control is simple, but removal of the menu overlay for the screen is hap-hazzard at best. Having it pop up or disappear unexpectedly is just too annoying. The kids roller controler should have been more friendly with this title. Saddly it's not. |
| The framing of the pictures is understandable to a point, but some of the images seem degraded. Quality really isn't as sharp on some of them as you'd like, or would expect from the CD-i. The lack of any anti-alias on the puzzle pieces make the game visually unappealing. Sometimes the lines are sometimes so large that it makes it hard to determine what the actual image is when you play with smaller pieces. Still, it is nice that you can choose from many shapes of pieces to play with though (see right). The biggest bonus though is the variety of images. From kiddish cartoon | ![]() |

To sum this all up, its a nice idea for a game title, a nice idea for a multimedia title. Merged, its just at best mediocre, occasional entertainment. I'd reccomend this for the kids, but the roller controler seems so darn awful with this one, it'd just be frustrating for them. Good for the family, or just for a bit of bored entertainment. But if the family is going to play, you'll need the thumbstick or the mouse. It takes a bit of time, but you can get the style and size that'll challenge you, but still be visually appealing. If you've got that time that is. |
