OCCUPATION DEFINITION

Apply systems engineering process tools and skills to enable the logical and systematic conversion of customer needs into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Complies, organizes performs, analyzes and documents complete compliance verification programs which assess design performance and operational suitability against documented requirements. Coordinates integration of total system by management of system and subsystem interfaces. Identifies, analyzes and resolves program issues. Breadth of responsibilities include Technical Planning, System Integration, Verification/Validation, Cost/Risk analysis, Supportability and System Effectiveness. These are applied to the system solutions from concept, design, fabrication, test installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a bachelors degree in an accredited and related engineering or scientific discipline, such as Systems Engineering, and a minimum of five years of related professional experience , three years with a M.S., or a PhD .
