| Notes from the Points Keeper: September 9, 2008 For those of you who competed in Ribbon Race and Rescue Race in 2008. Points are recorded by TEAM and you must have competed with the same team (including the same horse/horses) a minimum of 3 times to have your points count towards year end awards. To make it easier to calculate year end points, I only included on the reports those teams who did compete more than 3 times. September 5, 2008 I've gone through the results and made a few tweaks. All reports have been updated. Time for the GCSCA banquet committee to start ordering awards! Don't forget to check the spelling of your name and your horse on the Exhibitor Number reports to the right - they will be used for the banquet & awards. August 22, 2008 The annual show results are in the database and posted in the reports to the right! if you have any questions or concerns, please let me know ASAP. I will be going through all the results in the coming week, verify all records, so there may still be some minor changes. August 21, 2008 We received a great question from a member the other day - wondering what we do for year end awards. GCSCA presents year end awards for every GCSCA class (1st through 6th place in each class). We accumulate the points for each horse/rider who has shown in a class more than 3 times and use those accumulated points to award prizes to the highest number of points. We also have Year End High Point awards that we present to each age group! One set to gamers and another set to pleasure folks! For each horse/rider combination, we tally the total points they received in all their classes... the person with the most points in their age group wins the high point award! The age break downs are listed in the GCSCA by-laws. Here's a partial list of High Point Awards we present: High Point Pleasure 10 & Under High Point Games 10 & Under High Point Pleasure 11-13 High Point Games 11-13 August 12, 2008 Thank you to everyone that let me know the reports weren't showing all the results. Sorry about that - error on my part. All links are now pointing to the current results. August 11, 2008 WE HAVE SOME CLOSE RACES FOLKS! Check out the result links to the right to see results from all of the completed shows. Good luck to everyone at the Annual show in Pine Island! August 8, 2008 I'm about 80% done getting the Rainbow and the Cannon Falls cards into the system. The results will be posted on Monday, August 11th. Thank you for your patience! July 22, 2008 First I'd like to thank everyone for their well wishes! John has had his 5th and final surgery and is home so we can both begin to heal. One more week and I can have a crutch burning party for my pair! YEA!!!! Unfortunately John gets to wait 12 more weeks to burn his! Check out the results reports to the right - I have them updated with the first three shows of the year (Saddlelite, HayCreek & Pine Island). Today I received the Rainbow cards so I'll get started on those this week. One more reminder to check the spelling, etc on the Exhibitor Number reports to the right - these will be used to print year end awards. I hate to have someone get an award with a name mis-spelled! If you find any mistakes on the Exhibitor Number or Results reports, please click on the "Email" button to the right and let me know the concern and I'll pull the cards to review & correct as needed.
