| Greg at the Edinburgh Festival Greg- Good evening Im the proclaimers. Nice to be here in E-burgh in Scotchland. Uh, coming from American there are so many famous Scottish people that were aware of, the vast contribution of Scotland to world culture. Geniuses even come to mind: Sheena Easten was fabulous at whatever the hell it is she does. And Rod Stewart who was a tremendous, uh, old blond hag. And the most famous Scottish person in American history would defiantly have to be Scotty from Star Treck. So everyone can do like a crap Scottish accent when theyre like five years old, unfortunately all you can say is Captain, the engines are gonna blow! which doesnt come real handy in a taxi here, as I found out last night. I have gotta be speaking Esperanto when I get into the cabs because the cab drivers dont understand I word I say. Every night I get into a cab after my show. Last night I ended up in Aberdeen you guys. I must sound like this to them nahanhanhanahanhana damnit nahahahahahahaha turn here nananahahanana wrong way dude! Cause this is what they sound like to me ughuhuguhugghuhurhguhhughg you speccy git! Im gonna tell an airline joke now because Im an American comedian and we are required by the union to tell an airline joke. Driving ov I like to start all my airline jokes with driving. Driving over to the airport. Parked my car, got on the escalator went up, bought a ticket got on a plane, and then the hilarity began. Driving over to Scotland and boy was it wet! Um, flew over on Continental which is a great name for an airline. And something was up with the pilot man, he was having a bad pilot day. Ugh this is your captain speaking, captain dough McKetney, Ill be speaking to you from the cockpit. Today well be traveling at an altitude of approximately 35,000 feet. Umm shes gone I dont know if youve ever woken up and founded the whole entire house empty, not even a god damn note! Estimated arrival time at London is 1:45 but really whats the point ladies and gentlemen. Todays on flight entertainment the battle of Britain and the Hindenbergh enjoy your flight. Thanks a lot you guys thats been my time. Salt and Sauce. Thank you darling. |
