You will complete your test corrections in the ACTT Center. It's in Academic Building No. 3 just southeast of the Student Activities Center on the other side of campus. The phone number for the Center is 770-718-3766. The ACTT Center Spring Session 2003 Hours of Operation are:
The first thing you will do is to check out one of several copies of the exam that are on reserve at the service desk. Just ask for one of the "Reserve Copies" of Charles Wilson's POLS 1101: Introduction to American Government Exam. The exams can be checked out for one hour intervals. Depending on how many questions you missed, it should not take you much more than an hour, if that, to complete your corrections. If you do not finish in an hour, you may check out the copy of the exam for another hour, provided that no other students are waiting to check out a copy. Please note that you are not to write anything on the examination. The ACTT staff should direct you to enter a designated testing area. You may take your book, notes, etc., with you into the testing area. There, you will work alone to complete your test corrections.

You will complete your Test Corrections in the following format. On a sheet of paper, first write the question number and the question of an item which you missed. You will be able to identify these from your Scantron answer sheet. There will be a little blue line to the left of any incorrect item (e.g., "--- 6"). Next, you will write the letter of the correct answer and the entire correct answer beneath the question. Consult your book and/or your notes to locate which of the choices is in fact the correct answer for the question. Finally, provide a citation as to where you found the correct answer at the end of writing your answer choice. The citation may be from the textbook or from class notes. If it is from the book, just put "Text, p. XX, middle", where "XX, middle" is the page number on which you found the answer and the location (top, middle, bottom, etc.) where the answer appeared on the page. If you are citing your class notes, just put the day we discussed the topic or, if you don't know that, then put a note or two describing what we were talking about when the topic came up. A correct entry will look something like this: |

When you have completed all of your corrections, put your name, the date, your class period (10am or 11am), and the label "Test Corrections for Exam I" at the top of your first page and staple any multiple pages you have together. You will then turn your corrections in to me in class. You must complete your Test Corrections by one week from today. So, you will be turning them in on Monday, February 17th. If you do not turn in your test corrections by this date, you will not be given credit for doing them unless you have a very serious and legitimate excuse explaining why they were not done. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions. My address is [email protected]. Good luck! |
