Senior Software Engineer working on systems integration projects for multiple government clients in the northern Virginia (Tysons Corner) area.  Projects have included: lead developer for a customer satisfaction survey system integrating Lotus Notes document workflow capabilities with a COTS Enterprise Help Desk application, and Microsoft Office products (MS Access & Excel) for computing and reporting metrics.  Provide Lotus Notes Domino (R5/R6) database and web design capabilities for a large customer base. Currently acting as webmaster for a U.S. Govt agency.

Principle Software Engineer, Creative Technology, Inc. On Site at Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA

 

Principal Software Engineer working on site in Quantico, VA. as a senior member of the Lotus Notes development team supporting multiple web-based office automation applications for the Manpower division of USMC.  Lead developer for the Total Force Retention System (TFRS), a global workflow automation application managing the online reenlistment process between field career planners deployed worldwide and the Manpower division at HQ USMC.

Senior Lotus Notes Developer working as member of the GIS Fairfax Lotus Notes Team. Provide programming and help desk support for globally deployed Lotus Notes client and Domino web applications such as "BestNet" collaboration tool. Senior developer on several new Lotus Notes application development projects.

Senior Programmer, Lotus Notes Development Team Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Software Development Center (SDC), Falls Church, VA

Senior Programmer/Analyst for the Mission Oriented Systems Engineering Support (MOSES) contract managed by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). Senior programmer responsible for designing, developing and testing Lotus Notes/Domino project management and workflow applications for the Grants Information and Control System (GICS) which manages grant administration from state and regional offices to EPA headquarters.  Responsibilities included:

• Primary point of contact with the EPA Nonpoint Source national program manager, and Nonpoint Source coordinators in all ten EPA regions and fifty states.
• Defined requirements specifications, designed and developed databases, and delivered training in adherence with MOSES contractual requirements and the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Level III framework.
• Attended national conferences to make presentations and deliver training on new systems.

12/1996 to 3/1998

Senior Lotus Notes/Domino Developer, Independent Contractor Multiple Clients in Washington DC Metro Area and Northeast USA

Applied extensive knowledge of the software development life cycle including requirements analysis, workflow modeling, design, development, documentation, training development and delivery, and software maintenance.  Accomplishments during 1997/98 included:

• Policy Automation Directorate (PAD), Pentagon: Developed Notes front end to RDBMS back end using Notrix, performed Notes/Domino administration, and provided user support.
• IBM Worldwide Procurement (WWP) Division, E. Fishkill NY:  Developed system specifications, forms, and views for release 2.0 of the Contracts OnLine Tracking (COLT) application.
• Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Arlington VA: Provided on-site Notes/Domino administration support and web page development for mission-critical U.S. government WWW pages.  Gained experience with WindowsNT administration and Notes/Domino administration.

During a four year period, performed roles that included Programmer/Analyst, Programming Team Leader, Technical Architect, and Project Manager. Accomplishments included:

• Learning and Professional Development Group, AMS Corporate HQ, Fairfax, VA. (1994-96):
• Technical Architect for the Competency-Based Career Development (CBCD) system, supervising design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide Lotus Notes applications.
• Designed and implemented the AMS Class Registration System (CRS), the first enterprise-wide global knowledge management and workflow application used by over 6000 AMS employees world wide.
• Applied business process reengineering techniques to model the workflow of the class registration process and made optimizations that resulted in lower cost and improved efficiency for delivery of training classes.
• Developed user guides, training materials, and delivered training to users in US and Europe.
• Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Arlington VA (1994):
• As project manager, primary point of contact with the government client and the prime contractor SAIC.
• Supervised three full time Lotus Notes developers during all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, user documentation, and training.
• As financial manager, completed all contract deliverables on time and under budget.
• Advanced Industrial Management (AIM) Project, Norfolk Naval Shipyard (1993-94):
• Developed GUI interfaces to an Oracle database supporting the naval ship overhaul process.
• Presented the first live integrated demonstration of all subsystems to the commander of the Joint Logistics Systems Command (JLSC) securing approval of AIM as a migratory system for the Department of Defense.

Assembly language programmer for the SAC Digital Information Network (SACDIN). Four years experience troubleshooting, fixing, and documenting changes to communications software at the message packet level.  Developed program specifications, documentation, and communications software. Analyzed, designed, and implemented modifications to correct problems with message routing and error handling in a multi-level secure network.
