This shows a wider view. The blob of yellow to our east (1), currently over the Delmarva area and southern New Jersey, is what is left of the storms that moved across the DC Metro area between 3:00-4:00 PM. For these storms to have moved from DC to the Jersey Shore in a little over two hours shows how fast they were moving- up to 60 mph, faster than the 40 mph originally reported by the news station.
There are currently areas of bright RED (2) inside the DC Beltway and near Fredericksburg (Stafford County). To the west is another large area of yellow/orange (3) that is almost as big as the area that affected us earlier. To the west of that is another long line of bright red/orange (4) following the Ohio River that forms the border between Kentucky and Ohio. All of this is on a "conveyor belt" moving due east(!). We are in for an interesting night!
