August Skies
photo

There will be a total lunar eclipse on August 28 which will be visible from the continental USA before sunrise (eclipse ends after moon set).

They now have a whole gallery of photos of "noctilucent clouds" on the main Spaceweather page.

They also have information about the upcoming Perseid meteor shower during the weekend of August 11-12. This is going to be a particularly good year, because there will be a new moon, which means a dark sky, and the time of shower maximum is predicted to be around 5 h UT which is 1-2 AM in the eastern USA.
