Will of Ollie E. Keplinger, Decd

I, Ollie E. Keplinger of near Petersburg, Grant County, West Virginia, being of sound mind and disposing memory, do make this my last will and testament, therby revoking all former wills made by me.

I hereby direct my executor to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses.

I give and bequeath to my grandson, Evers Keplinger, son of my deceased son Victor Keplinger, the sum of $10.00.

I give and bequeath to my wife, Mattie Keplinger, all of my personal property, of every kind and character, for and during her natural life, and at her death the same to go equally to my children and granddaughter, namely my children to share are Edna Feaster, Verdie Mallow, Emily Keplinger and Therman Keplinger and my granddaughter June Keplinger Mallow.

I give, devise and bequeath to my wife, Mattie Keplinger, all of my real estate situated in Milroy District, Grant County, West Virginia, and any other real estate that I may own elsewhere, for and during her natural life, and at the death of my said wife, Mattie Keplinger, I give, devise and bequeath all of said real estate that I may own to my children, namely, Edna Feaster, Verdie Mallow, Emily Keplinger and Therman Keplinger and my granddaughter June Keplinger Mallow share and share alike, in fee simple.

I hereby appoint Mattie Keplinger, my wife, my executor of this my last will.

Witness my signature this the 20th day of April, 1948.

Signed, published and declared by Ollie E. Keplinger as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us, who in his presence at his request, and in the presence of one another, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses this the 20th day of April, 1948.

In the Clerks Office of the County Court of Grant County, West Virginia, September 10, 1955, In recess of said Court:

This day Mattie Keplinger produced to the Clerk, a paper writing purporting to be the last will and Testament of Ollie E. Keplinger late of Grant County, deceased. Upon motion said will was proven by the oath of Myrtle K. Park, one of the subscribing witnesses, V.E. Cassady, the other subscribing witness being deceased; thereupon came Charles H. Park, who being duly sworn deposed that he was well acquainted with the handwriting of the said V.E. Cassady, deceased and did verily believe the signature of the aforesaid V.E. Cassady to be true and genuine. Upon motion said will is ordered to be recorded as the true last will and testament of the said Ollie E. Keplinger, deceased.
