PETERSBURG -
Evelyn Marie Keplinger, age 87, of Petersburg, W.Va., died Monday, December 6, 2004, at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg.

She was born August 14, 1917, in Petersburg, and was the daughter of the late Robert E. Fout and Mae Marie (Dermer) Fout. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Keplinger on July 9, 1998; one daughter, Cleta Keplinger Bittorf; two brothers, Jesse James Fout and Cecil Fout; and a half-sister, Florence Rinker.


Mrs. Keplinger was a certified nursing assistant for Grant Memorial Hospital and Northern Virginia Doctors Hospital. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Petersburg.

Survivors include three daughters, Anna Fisher of Petersburg, Naomi Poston of Petersburg and Martha "Marti" Kite of Dorcas, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, the Rev. William A. Fout officiating.

Interment will be held in Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, W.Va.

Memorials may be made to the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Company or the Grant County Nursing Home 100 Wing.

Paul Edward Keplinger, 71, formerly of Petersburg, died Dec. 11, 2001, at Country Comfort Personal Care, Fairmont, where he had resided the past four years.
Born March 17, 1930, in Keyser, he was the son of the late Ulysses Guy and Nellie Mae (Turner) Groves Keplinger.
He is survived by three sisters, Anna Belle Keplinger of Petersburg, Clara May Kiddy of Parkersburg, and Betty Cook of Winchester, Va. and two brothers, Elwood Keplinger and Donnie Keplinger, both of Petersburg.
Funeral services were Dec. 14, at the Schaeffer Funeral Home chapel, Petersburg, with interment in the Mount Hebron Cemetery, Maysville. (12/18)

Grant Co Press Jan 2004 - ANDY KEPLINGER
Andy Steven Keplinger, 41, of Winchester, Va., died Jan. 28, 2004, at his home.
Born July 11, 1962, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of Sue Ellen Keplinger and the late Roger Paul Keplinger and grandson of the late Harry and Edna Keplinger.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by three sisters, Tammy West and Tracy Spitler, both of Stephens City, Va., and Katina Carter, Winchester; one brother, Bradley Paul Keplinger, Winchester; and 11 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Jan. 31, at Calvary Church of the Brethren with Pastor Clarence Davis Jr. officiating. Interment was in Salem Church Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.

Robert Keplinger, 70, died yesterday at his residence in Kline's Gap near Maysville.

Born April 17, 1882 in Maysville, Mr. Keplinger held membership in Mt. Hebron United Brethren Church.  He was a son of the late James and Sarah N. (Rexroad) Keplinger.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Bessie (Rohrbaugh) Keplinger; four daughter, Mrs. Harvey Davis, Scherr; Mrs. Chester Marsh, Westernport; Mrs. Thomas Harman, Maysville; and Mrs. William Brogan, Hagerstown; a son, Herman Keplinger, Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Lyons, Outlook, Wash.; and Mrs. Noah Rohrbaugh, Maysville, and four brothers, Jeff Keplinger, Maysville; Jacob Keplinger, Broadway, Va.; Calvin Keplinger, Piedmont; and Harry Keplinger, Keyser.

The body is at the home.  Services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Maysville Gospel Tabernacle by Rev. Lowell Rodgers, pastor, and Rev. D. A. Frazer, pastor of United Brethren Church.  Interment will be in Maysville Cemetery.
