| Will of William Parks
I, William Parks senior of Milroy Township in the County of Grant, State of West Virginia do make, constitute and ordained this my last will and testament revoking all former wills. Whereas a certain deed bearing date of the 14th day of July 1844 has been made to me by George Lentz and Elizabeth, his wife and Martin Lentz and Anny his wife of 133 acres 3 roads and 5 poles of land lying on Quantico of Powder lick run in Hardy County, Virginia (Now Grant County West Virginia, which deed was signed of acknowledged only by said Martin & Anny, his wife but by some over sight or neglect was not signed by George Lentz & Elizabeth his wife & whereas the same appears therefore incomplete & might not secure the full right and title to said lands, Now therefore I by these present appoint and constitute my two sons James Parks and William L. Parks my executors and administrate to obtain a decree of the Circuit Court to sell so much of said land as I still claim viz 83 � acres to prevent said George Lentz or heirs from taking advantage of said oversight or omission and to switch other disposition for the benefit of my heirs as they see proper or deem of advantage to them. Of the proceed of said land and my other property I may leave I give and bequest to my daughter, Annie fifty dollars, as a just compensation for waiting on her mother during four years affliction. Further I give and bequeath to my grandson Joseph Lentz the sun of fifty dollars for boarding supplies to me by his father Martin Lentz. Furthermore I give and bequeath to my daughter Louiza Sears, or heirs the sum of Eight Dollars which she has received in a first payment on fifty acres of land purchased off of the 133 acres 3 roods of 5 poles, which she has received by selling the said fifty acres of land purchased by Moses Keplinger, and the balance to be equally divided amongst my four children, Henry, James, William and Annie Lentz or their heirs.
