| Will Scott Hall
I, Scott Hall, being of sound and disposing mind, realizing the uncertainity of life do make this my last will and testament. First � I will and direct that all of my just debts be paid. Second � I give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Susanna Hall, to have and to hold as long as she may live, all of my estate, both real and personal, this being only a life estate therein. Assuming that my said wife will remain upon and conduct the farm, it is my desire that my son, Thomas Hall, remain with her and manage said farm under any arrangement which I hope they may make. Third � After the death of my said wife, I direct that all my household and kitchen furniture be divided among my four children, Thomas Hall, Howard, Hall, Jacob Hall and Lucy Keplinger. Fourth � After the death of my said wife, I give all my live stock, horses, farming implements, etc., to my sons Thomas Hall and Jacob Hall. Fifth � After the death of my said wife, I give unto my said son, Thomas Hall that part of my land known as Tract No. 1, containing 141-1/8 acres, as evidenced by a plot and survey of my lands made on the 1st day of December, 1925, by Austin Sites, surveyor, which plat with the courses and distances thereof are filed with this Will, as a part hereof. Sixth � After the death of my said wife I give to my son Jacob Hall Tract No. 2, containing 154 acres, found upon said plat. Seventh � After the death of my said wife, I give to my daughter Lucy Keplinger for and during her natural life, and at her death, then to her children, (my object being to give my daughter, Lucy, a life estate only in said tract of land) Tract No. 3, containing 110 acres, found upon said plat. Said Tract No. 3 is to have a right of way to and from the same over said Tract No. 2 and Tract No. 1, along the road now used by me in reaching that part of said land. With said Tract No. 2, there is also given a right of way to and from the same over Tract No. 1, and Tract No. 3, along the road now used by me. My object being to give any reasonable right of way over either of said tracts for the use and enjoyement of the other tract without the abuse of said rights. Eighth � To my son, Howard Hall, I will the sum of Two Thousand Dollars, One Thousand of which is to be paid him by my son, Thomas Hall, as follows: Five Hundred Dollars one year after the death of my said wife, and Five Hundred Dollars two years after her said death; the other Thousand Dollars is to be paid my said son, Howard, by my said son, Jacob Hall as provided in the payments to be made by my said son, Thomas Hall. I hereby constitute and appoint my said son, Thomas Hall, as Executor of this Will. In Witness whereof, I have signed and sealed and published and declared this instrument as my last will and testament, this 21st day of December, 1925. Welton Third and last tract; Being the north west end or side of the original tract adjoining the second tract on the east, Edith Day on the north, Mrs. Hoffman on the west, and Harmon Rinehart on the south. Beginning at a post in the fence near the top of a ridge corber to Harman Rineharts and to the second tract, and with lines of Rinehart N 67 W 31 � pos. to a fence post cemented in the ground on top of a ridge near the head of a drain or low place S 57 � W 89 � pos. to the original line by a small white oak in the fence, thence with same, now Mrs. Hoffmans N 14 E 74 � pos. to a bunch of red oak saplings S 83 � E 18 pos. to 3 red oaks on the west side of an old road N 14 E 98 pos. to a black walnut on the west bank of the creek N 31 W 15 pos. to some sarvas bush on the west bank thence across the creek N 39 E 43 � pos to a white oak against a hill side in Chas. Laws line, and with same S 54 E 23 pos. to a large white oak corner to Edith Day and with same S 66 � E 74 pos. to some cedar by a drain or low place corner to the second tract, and with lines of same S 55 � E 13 � pos. to a fence post at the end of a board fence 8 ft. east of a small cedar S 7 W 33 pos. to a planted stone on the west side of the creek S 40 � W 6 pos. to the creek. Same course continued in all 115 pos. to the beginning, containing 110 acres more or less. The First tract is all of the Cochren land except about (left blank) acres sold to Scott Hall by Mrs. Painter. The Second tract is all of the Cochren land except (left blank) acres sold to Scott Hall by Evers Rinehart and the Third tract or last one is all of the (left blank) Cochren lands. Sites In the Clerks Office of the County Court of Grant County, West Virginia, September 11th, 1929 � in the recess of said court: This day the last Will and Testament of Scott Hall, late of Grant County, deceased, was proven by the oath of W.C.
