Will of Jonathan Keplinger

I, Jonathan Keplinger of the County of Hardy and State of Virginia do make this my last Will and Testament.

In the first place I give and bequeath unto Zebulon D. Groves and Betsy his wife and their legal heirs all the home place including (hard to read) 250 acres more or less without reserve. In the next place I give and bequeath unto my son Solomon all that tract of land whereon he now resides containing 125 acres more or less. Proving however that Zebulon D. Groves & wife and Solomon Keplinger pay to the balance of the heirs respectively the following sums to wit: Z.D. Groves to pay in current funds the sume of $1750 in three equeal annual payments to the other heirs, and Solomon Keplinger to pay to the other heirs of Jonathan Keplinger the sum of $875 in three equeal annual payments in like current funds and all my personal property after paying all my debts and funeral expenses to be sold and equeally divided among all my legal heirs, I appoint Zebulon D. Groves my Executor, in witness hereunto I subscribe my name this 9th day of July 1864.

At a Circuit Court held for Grant County, W. Va on the 14th day of June 1866, this Will was proved by the oaths of Thos J. Grove and Snowden Scott, subscribing witnesfess there unto and ordered to be recorded.
