The Will of J. Evers Evans

Nov. 2, 1959

I, James Evers Evans of the Jordan Run Community of Grant County, West Virginia, being of sound mind and disposing memory, do make this my last will and testament thereby revoking any and all former wills by me made.

First: I direct my Executors hereinafter4 named to pay all of my just debts and funeral expenses. Then all of the rest, residue and remainder of my property, both real and personal I give, devise and bequeath as follows:

1- All of my personal property consisting of, farm machinery, household goods, live stock and cash money if any to my wife, Dolly Evans.
2- My real estate I bequeath to my wife Dolly Evans her lifetime, then at her death be divided as follows now described.
3- To my daughter (Helen Evans Teter�s) three children namely, Leldon Teter $200.00, Annabelle Teter $200.00 and Shirley Teter $200.00.
4- The remainder of my estate to be divided equally among my other six children, namely Isa Sara Teter, Glen Kenton Evans, Leo Evers Evans, Emil Nathaniel Evans, Gene Thomas Evans, and Colon Lowell Evans.
5- If at the time of my wife Dolly Evan�s death one of my children is living on and operating the farm in pardenership with my wife Dolly Evans as a business pardner, he shall have the first right to buy the farm from the other heirs at a price that the other heirs would be willing to pay or a price that three qualified farmers would consider a just and fair value.
6- Now, if any of my children buys the farm they shall have three years time to pay for the farm.
7- I now appoint my wife Dolly Evans and my son Gene Thomas Evans, as the administrators of my estate and no bond shall be required by them, or of them.

In the Clerks Office of the County Court of Grant County, West Virginia, July 3, 1963 � In the recess of said court:

This day Dolly Evans produced to the Clerk a paper writing, purporting to be the last will and testament of James Evers Evans, deceased, and upon motion of the said Dolly Evans, said will was proven by the oath of Susan Stonestreet, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, Virgil F. Stonestreet, the other subscribing witness being deceased, and ordered to be recorded according to law.
