I, William Welch, of the County of Grant, and state of West Virginia do make this my last will and testament. 1st. I will to my son, John E. Welch, the sum of five dollars. 2d. I will to my son, Garret W.S. Welch, the sum of five dollars. 3d. I will to Mary J.E. Welch, daughter of my son Moses A Welch, the sum of five dollars. 4th. I will to my son, Noah D. Welch, the sum of five dollars. 5th. I will to my daughter, Matilda J. Ashbro the sum of five dollars. 6th. I will to my daughter, Laura C.R. Welch the sum of twenty-five dollars. 7th. I will my house and kitchen property to my wife, Mahala Welch, during her natural life, and then said property to go to Aaron H. Welch, Sarah Welch and Charles O. Welch. 8th. I will to my wife, Mahala Welch, my bay m?. 9th. I will to my wife, Mahala Welch, during her natural life, my home tract of land, the tract land that I purchased of John Markwood containing 30 acres more or less, the Martin tract of land adjoining the land of Archibald Roberts, and land lying east of my home tract to the top of the ridge, and then after the death of my wife said lands are to descend to my three last named children A.H. Welch, Sarah B. Welch and Charles O. Welch. 10th. I will that all of my lands not herein mentioned be sold by my executor. 11th. My will is that if there is any money from the sale of my property after the payment of my debts, that my wife and my three youngest children shall have it. 12th. My will is that my wife shall have the wheat and bacon that I have at my death. 13th. I will to my son, A.H. Welch five head of sheep. 14th. I will to my daughter, Sarah B. Welch five head of sheep. 15th. I will to my wife one cow, her choice. 16th. I hereby appoint my friend, A.C. Scherr, my executor to carry out the provisions of this my will.
