Will-Adam Michael

Know all men by these presents, that I, Adam Michael, of the County of Grant and state of West Virginia being in bad health and sound mind and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoke all former wills by me made at any time heretofore, and as to my worldly estate, and all the property, real, personal or mixed of which I shall die seized and possessed, or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease I devise, bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following to wit: First my will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall by my executor hereinafter named be paid, out of my estate, as soon after my decease as shall by him be found convenient. Second, I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife, Ellenorah Michael, all my real estate during her natural lifetime excepting a grist mill and saw mill and lot of ground on which they stand bounded as follows: Bounded on the north by the line of Jesse Hays and J.A. Lemon on the east by the east line of the fourteen acre tract. On the north by the line of S. Life & Co, with the creek west to a drain of water passing under a ?? of the New Creek and Hardy Turnpike, thence with said drain to New Creek and Hardy Turnpike. Then with said turnpike north to the Beginning said saw mill and lot of land above described to be sold after my death, when found most convenient by my executor purchase of said mills to have right of water way as it now is. I also give to her, Elenorah Michael the use, improvements and income of all my house in the village of Greenland. I also give to her in her natural lifetime all my household and kitchen furniture and farming tools. And I, also give to her in her natural one bay may by the name of Jennie and colt foaled in the spring of 1891, and I also give to her two cows, choice of the lot. I also give and bequeath to my son, Taylor M. Michael one roan horse, three years old in the spring of 189?. Also, after my decease it is my will that my half interest in the store of Life & Michael be sold, also the remainder of my live stock. It is my wish that the proceeds, after the sale of mills, and land above described also half interest in store and live stock. Debts to be paid out of said proceeds first to be placed at interest or in some safe manner til the death of my wife, provided that my wife is to draw from such proceeds enough to pay the taxes and buy some stock, such as a bunch of sheep or cattle. I give, devise and bequeath to my wife all proceeds of the grist and saw mill until said mills are sold. And it is my will that the black smith tools, tools in mill, and s?? be sold. I give, devise and bequeath to my son Taylor M. Michael, from and after the decease of my wife $150.00. I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter, Maria C. Michael, after the decease of my wife $100.00. I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter, Sarah Frances Michael, after the decease of my wife $100.00. All the rest and residue of my estate, real, personal and mix of which my wife shall die seized and prossessor to which she will be entitled at her decease. I give, devise and bequeath to be equally divided between, and among my said sons and daughters George W. Michael, Taylor M. Michael, Mary V. Cassidy, Louveno F. Devilbliss, Maria Michael, Sarah F. Michael and Eliza J. Hays, provided that should Eliza J. Hays never return from the asylum at Weston, W.Va. where she is now confined her portion to be set apart, and to be equally divided between her two sons, Edgar K. Hays and Walter O. Hays when they become twenty-one years of age. And lastly, I do nominate and appoint A.H. Michael to be executor of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof, I the said Adam Michael, have to this my last will and testament, contained on one sheet of legal cap paper. I have subscribed my name and affixed my seal, this the first day of September 1891.
