Deed: Catharine Warfield to Wm W. McNemar

This deed, made this 2nd day of July 1902,by and between Catherine Warfield, grantor of the first part and wm W. McNemar, grantee of the second part, and all of the county of Grant and State of West Virginia, WITNESSETH: That for and in consideration of one Hundred and Twenty-five Dollars cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and the further consideration of four certain notes of even date herewith bearing interest at 6%, viz: Three notes of One Hundred Dollars each due in one, two and three years and four months after date, and one note for Forty-one Dollars and twenty-five cents due four years and four months after date, executed by said Wm W. McNemar in favor of said Catherine Warfield; for the above considerations the said party of the first part doth grant and hereby convey with general warranty of title unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever, all her right, title and interest in three certain tracts or parcels of land lying and situated in the county and sate aforesaid and described as follows:  One tract known as the Harris tract, beginning at the white oaks and 2 Spanish oaks(white oaks only remain and they are dead),  standing near an old road in or near the original line of the Harris 89 acre tract (of which this is a part), and the Warfield tract of Williams land, containing 150 acres and running thence S.45* E. to correspond with the original Harris deed, but hat call is wrong and it should be S. 79* E. 38 P. to 2 white oaks original Scott and George corner on the west bank of a drain; thence S. 428E. 46 P. to 2 chestnut oaks and a pine; thence N. 73 *W. 38 P. to 3 chestnut oaks; thence 52 poles to the beginning containing 11 � acres more or less, with the appurtenances thereto belonging.

Another tract known as McGraw land, beginning at 2 w. Oaks in a hollow, corner to Harris and Scott lands and running thence S. 79 �* E.53 � p. to 3 pines on West side and near top of a ridge( A San. Oak and 2 pines also recently marked as only part of one of the original corner trees remain) in Scott�s line; thence leaving said line N. 16* E. 48 P. to 2 chestnut oaks on the West side of a ridge; N.36 W/2* E.55 P. to 3 chestnut oaks on the north side of a ridge and south of a hollow; N. 10* E. 12 P. to a pine and 2 W. oaks and a chestnut Oak saplings on the point of a ridge: N. 25 W.27 P. to a white oak on the north side of a ridge and about 2 12 P. from Ross Run: N. 54*W.38 P. to a hickory and white oak sapling on the east side of a drain in a hollow and up same S. 42* W. 21 35 poles to a red oak on the west side of said drain; N. 81 �*W.39 1/5 P. to 2 black oaks on a ridge on west side of a path;, beginning corner to Harris land and with its lines reversed S.53. � W.  19 P. to 2 chestnut oaks on the west side of said path; S. 12 �* e.49 p. TO 2 chestnut oaks 7* W.23 P . to three chestnut oaks ; S.73* E. 38 P. to 2 chestnut oaks and a pine; S.45* W.46 P. to the beginning, containing 64 � acres more or less with the appurtenances thereto belonging.

Also, another tract surveyed July 2, 1902, beginning at 2 white oaks said Scott�s corner, and reversing a line of the 150 acre tract of Warfield land bought of Williams 18* W.93 P. to a point in a road in a hollow about 2 p. short of a white oak corner of said land and running thence leaving said line and with the meanders of said road up said hollow n. 12 �* W.19 � P. , N. 10* F.14 � P.,  N. 15   � W. 8 P. , North 4 p., N. 13 �* W. 23 P. , N. 20 � W. 18 P. N. 15 � * W. 16 P. N. 29 �* W. 11 P. to a  point in said road just below a pair of bars in or near the original line between Harris &Warfield; thence leaving the road and running along said line S.79* E. (passing 2 white oaks corner of 11 � acre Harris tract at about 25 poles), 64 poles to the beginning, containing 17 �   acres more or less , together with the improvements and improvements thereto belonging, it being a part of the 150 acre tract above mentioned.  Possession is hereby ranted to the party of the second part, except the pasture on said premises, which shall after September 1st become the property of said Wm, W. McNemar.  The party of the first part also grant and hereby conveys unto the said party of the second part the right to enter upon the remainder of the 150 acre Williams tract lying west of the road therein mentioned whose meanders from part of the boundaries of the 17 � acre tract herein mentioned and to use for household purposes the water from a certain spring near said road in said hollow; the said party of the second part is also granted the right to erect and maintain below said spring a milk house and to utilize the water flowing from said spring for that purpose.
