PURGITSVILLE, W.Va. -- Eston R. Nazelrod, 86, of Purgitsville, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Hampshire Memorial Hospital, Romney.
Born Aug. 23, 1915, at Landes, a son of the late Frank W. and Ada Ketterman Nazelrod. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Mr. Nazelrod was a retired inspector with the C&O and B&O Railroad after 32 years of service. He was Presbyterian by faith.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond Wolfe, Romney, Charles Wolfe, Moorefield; two daughters, Loraine A. High, Purgitsville, Arbutus V. Wratchford, Moorefield; one brother, Ivan C. Nazelrod, Brunswick, Md.; two sisters, Elizabeth O. Heare, Three Churches, Nina B. Hershey, Strasburg, Va.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney.
Services will be Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at 1 p.m. at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, with Don Kesner, Minister.
Interment will be in Elijah High Cemetery, Purgitsville.

Nina Mae (See) Nesselrod, 82, of Petersburg and formerly of South Fork, died Nov. 28, 2000 at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg.

Born Feb. 23, 1918, in Bass, she was the daughter of the late John Cason and Sally C. (See) See. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Benson D. Nesselrod, Jan. 6, 1994. She was the last member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Nesselrod resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Tom Hawk, Petersburg, for the past six years.

Besides her daughter, she is survived by four sons, Orville L. "Spike" Combs and Gary Nesselrod, both of Old Fields, Norman "Pete" Nesselrod of Moorefield and Tommy Nesselrod of Purgitsville; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were Nov. 30, at the Schaeffer Funeral Home chapel, Petersburg, with interment was in South Branch Memorial Gardens, Petersburg.

Paul Roscoe Nesslerodt, 77 of Charles Town, died Sunday September 24, 2000 at Shenandoah Health and Rehabilitation Center, Charles Town.

Born February 21, 1923 in Grant County, he was the son of the late John A. and Naomi (Berg) Nesslerodt.

Mr. Nesslerodt was in the timer and sawmill business for many years.  He was owner and operator of Paul�s Wood Products in Charles Town and had been a building contractor and land developer in Jefferson County.  He was a member of the Child�s road Church of God, Middleway.

He is survived by his wife Rose M. (Foley) Nesslerodt, whom he married June 22, 1951, in Cumberland, Maryland; three sons, Paul J. Nesslerodt of Charles Town, Michael t. Nesslerodt of Inwood and Charles R. Nesslerodt of Berryville, Virginia; three daughters, Gern Y. Higdon of Leetown, Connie S. Glaser of Hedgeville and Stephanie G. McDonald of Inwood; four brothers, John A. Nesslerodt Jr. of Keyser.  Ray Nesslerodt of Mt. Storm, Robert Nesslrodt of Keyser and Roger Nesslerodt of Maysville; six sisters, Esther Jones of Elk Garden, Evaline Ray of Blythville, Arkansas, Maxine Nelson of Maysville, Pauline Marple of Gormania, Betty Feaster of Petersburg and Sandra Kay Mauzy of Dorcas; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were Saturday afternoon at the Petersburg Church of God, Petersburg, with the Rev. Earle Wilbourne and the Rev. Ernest Pennington officiating. Interment was in the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville. 

Arrangements were under the direction of the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town.

Rostron A. Nelson, 83, of Pasadena will be held at El Bethel Full Gospel
Church, 204th and Catherine Ave., Pasadena, MD. He was born Dec. 4, 1918, in
Cabins, WV. and lived in Pasadena all his life.

Mr. Nelson owned Nelson's Mowing Service for 20 years. He also was well known for growing strawberries and was featured in a story in the Maryland Gazette last year.
He ws a member of El Bethel Gospel Church. Mr. Nelson enjoyed helping people,
walking and watching television.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Nellie Nelson; two sons, Ronald L. Nelson of Glen Burnie and Dennis R. Nelson of Pasadena; one daughter, Edna M. Derr of Columbia; one brother, John Nelson of West Virginia; two sisters, Jannie Hours and Bessie Nelson of West Virginia; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. One son, Edward L. Nelson, died in 1983.

The Rev. Joseph Messenger will conduct the services, Intement will be in Cedar Hill Cemetary.
