Willie Edward Didawick, 80, of Mount Storm, died March 15,2002 at the home of his daughter, Bonnie Jones of Kearneysville. Born Oct. 31, 1921, in Mount Storm, he was the son of the late Bud and Lottie (Cosner) Didawick. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Viola Lee (Lewis) Didawick, June 30, 1989. Besides his one daughter, he is survived by his second wife, Patricia Ann (Jackson) Didawick; four daughters, Rosemary Didawick of Fairmont and Dorothy Lambka, Donna Didawick and Charlotte Hartman, all of Mount Storm; four sons, William Keplinger of Fairmont, David Keplinger and Virgil Didawick, both of Elk Garden and Edward Didawick of Martinsburg; one sister, Mary Agnew of Bayard; one brother, Joe Didawick of Levels; one stepson, Thaddeus C. Jackson of Rachel; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were March 18, at the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, with interment in the Cosner Family Cemetery, Mount Storm. Arrangements were under the direction of the Basagic Funeral Home, Petersburg. *********************************************************************************************************** Sadie Esther Dayton, 95 of Burlington, WV, died Sunday May 10, 1998, at the Hampshire Health Care Center, Romney, WV Born August 07, 1902, in Grant County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Harry S. and Laura (Iman) Weese. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Dayton on September 08, 1968; one daughter, Nancy Louise Dayton on January 07, 1948; one brother, Berkeley Dayton; and one sister, Lettie Keller. Mrs. Dayton was a schoolteacher before marriage. She was a member of the North Mill Creek Baptist Church since 1919. She attended the Beaver Run Church of the Brethren and was a member of the Beaver Run Women's Fellowship. Surviving are three sons, Charles E. Dayton Jr. Arthur, WV, Gerald S. Dayton, Joppa, Maryland, and Robert C. Dayton, Burlington; two granddaughters and three great-grandsons. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, May 13 at the Beaver Run Church of the Brethren at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Preston J. Miller officiating. Mr. Davis worked for Kessel Lumber company and had been a resident of the Grant CountyNnursingHhome in Petersburg since April 11, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Lula B. (Rohrbaugh) Davis, one son, Robert Lee Davis, Bowie, Maryland; one daughter, Shirley Matthews, Florida; one brother, Vincent Coolidge Davis, New Albany, Ohio; two grandchildren, Robert L. Born April 01, 1919, in Forman, he was the son of the late Otha A. and Lula (Veach) Davis. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Gerald Q. Davis Jr. and an infant sister. Mr. Davis was a retired radio and television repairman. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife, Glendora F. (Kessel) Davis, whom he married September 12, 1946; one son, Gerry A. Davis of Maysville; one daughter, Glenda s. Martin of Maysville; one sister, Twila M. Hogbin of Petersburg; four grandchildren, Gerry A. Written by George W. Daddysman Westernport: January 09: Joseph Arnold Donovan, 77 formerly of here died last night at 7:10 o�clock at the home of his son, Howard M. Donovan, 409 Decatur Street, Cumberland, where he resided. Mr. Donovan who spent the most of his life in this community was the only son of the late John and Caroline Donovan, was born near Greenland Gap, Grant County, WV in 1869. His wife the former Bernice Hathaway whom he married in 1912 died in 1925. He was formerly employed for a number of years at the Luke Plant of the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company and a fireman on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company and was last employed wit the Ross Coal Company when he retired a number of years ago. Besides Walter survived by four other sons, Charles B. Donovan, Piedmont, WV, Joseph T. Donovan, Barton, and Robert L. Donovan, Hicksville, Long Island, NY; one daughter, Miss Alma Gertrude Donovan, Canton, Ohio and nine grandchildren. The body will remain at the Fredlock Funeral Home at Piedmont WV until the funeral. Services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Sunnyside Church of the Brethren, New Creek, WV with Rev. A. R. Interment will be in McDowell Cemetery near Burlington, WV. ******************************************************************************************** PETERSBURG - Foster Daniels, 90, of Petersburg, W.Va., and formerly of Westernport, Md., died Sunday, January 22, 2006, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, W.Va. Born September 16, 1915, in Cross, W.Va., he was the son of the late Frank and Flossie (Ours) Daniels. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, infant Christine Daniels, Bernadine Francis and Wilma Francis; two stepsons, infant Leroy Riggleman and Randy Riggleman; and one stepgranddaughter, Melissa Ann Cherry. Mr. Daniels was a coal miner and carpenter and was past president of the former Petersburg Golden Kiwanis Club. He was a member of Riverside Church and was a United States Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Arbutus (Goldizen) Riggleman Daniels; one son, David Daniels of Keyser; two daughters, Cynthia Welch of Swanton, Md., and Diane DeMacio of Virginia Beach, Va.; one stepson, Gary Riggleman of Mathias, W.Va.; two stepdaughters, Sandra Shook of Petersburg and Brenda Mason of Sterling, Va.; two grandsons, one great-granddaughter, nine stepgrandchildren and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Doris Daddysman, of Westernport; two brothers, John F. Daniels and wife, Nina, of Westernport, and Charles Daniels and wife, Norma Jean, of Lonaconing, Md. Born on June 17, 1912 at Dolly Sods, WV, he was a son of the late Martin E. and Effie Jane (Rohrbaugh) Dolly. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle Emily (Rohrbaugh) Dolly on September 26, 1963; two grandchildren, Russell Cosner and Baby Boy Michael; two step-grandchildren, Justin McKenzie and Amber Dolly and three brothers, Emory, Cletus and Carl Denver Dolly. Mr. Dolly was retired as a self employed timber man. He also formerly worked with the W.P.A. in the 1930�s, in coal mining, excavating and was a farmer. He was a member of the Kelley Chapel Church of the Brethren, the Lehigh Rod and Gun Club and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Roxie M. (Dolly) Dolly; five daughters, Mary Mallow of Petersburg, WV, Betty Olson of Denver, CO, Arvella Smith and husband Harlan of Burlington, Geneva Michael and husband Gary of Bridgewater, VA and Deloris Dolly of Burlington; one step-daughter, Debra Mallow and husband Ford of Seneca Rocks, WV; one stepson, Dwayne Dolly, I and wife Mary of Burlington; 10 grandchildren, three step grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Mr. DeBerry was a coal miner, formerly employed at Laurel Run Mining, Mt. Storm. He was a member of the American Legion Post 78, Petersburg and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict. Surviving are his wife, Fern (Lough) DeBerry; three sons, Kevin DeBerry and Brian DeBerry, both of Mt. Lake Park, MD and Meredith DeBerry, Whipple, OH; one daughter, Paula Fitchett, Terra Alts; two stepsons, Wade Lough, Holloman Air Force Base, NM and Lynn Lough, Griffis Air Force Base, NY; three sisters, Betty Penrod, Carolyn Coil and Cindy LaMay, both of New Lexington, OH and five grandchildren.
