| Nida Nesslerodt Brotherton, 86, of Maysville was dead on arrival at Grant Memorial Hospital, Sunday April 6, 1986. Born October 16, 1899 in Grant County, she was the daughter of the late D William Turner and Sally (Jordan) Turner. She was an Avon representative for 25 years, a member of the Jordan Run Homemakers Club and a member of Avon's Presidents Club. She was a member of the Jordan Run Baptist Church. Her husband, Daniel Nesslerodt preceded her in death in 1931. She was also preceded in death by one son, four brothers and six sisters. She is survived by one son, Warren A Nesslerodt, Maysville; two daughters, Mrs Hollis (Tomasenia) Ours and Mrs Herbert (Marie) VanMeter, both of Maysville; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was the last member of her immediate family. Funeral services were held at the Jordan Run Union Church Tuesday morning with the Rev. David Kidd and the Rev Paul Donaldson officiating. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Glenvil Charles Feaster in 1977; and infant son; two brothers, Ernest Evans and Garnald Evans; and one sister, Alice Alt Souder. She was the last member of her immediate family. Mrs Brotherton was a member of Cabins Assembly of God. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 11 at 5 p.m. at Church of the Advent. She was born in Maysville, WV on Jan. 28, 1922. She received her education at Rockingham Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Harrisonburg, VA, graduating on May 19, 1943 as a Registered Nurse. She served in the military as a 1st Lieutenant with the U.S. Army, serving with the 93rd General Hospital in Malvern, England from 1943-1945. On Sept. 12, 1945 she married William J. Bridgen in Fairford, England. She moved to Williamston with her husband in 1950. Mrs. Bridgen was a member of the Church of the Advent, Williamston Kiwanis Club, Williamston Women�s Club, Honorary member of the Carolinas District Key Club from which she received the Key of Success Award in 1988 and the Hixon Award in 1996, Episcopal Churchwomen, American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross and Roanoke Golf Association. She was recognized with the Governor�s Volunteer Award in 1979 and 1985. She retired from nursing at Martin General Hospital.
