| James Likins to Board of Education
This Deed made the 11th day of June in the year 1880, between James Likins Jr. and Zuba Catherine, his wife of the first part and Henry Feaster, James H. Miller, Edward F. Vossler, Aaron Roby Sr. John D. Rhinehart and Lafayette Smith who constitute the Board of Education of Grant District, Brant County, West Virginia of the second part. Witnesseth that in consideration of one Dollar, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the parties of the first part do grant unto the parties of the second part and to their successors in office for educational purpose, all of a certain tract or parcel of land situated south of Knobley Pike, on the Ridge Road and adjoining the lands of Abraham Rotruck Jr. and James Likens Jr. in the District County and State aforesaid and bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake in a line of said Likens and Abraham Rotruck about 1 � poles north of two white oaks corner to said Likens and Rotruck with their line at 32 � E9 poles to a stake S 40 E.10.12 poles to a Spanish oak sapling, thence S32 W9 poles to a pine by the road, thence with said road to the Beginning containing 91 poles more or less. It being the schoolhouse site of Sub. District N. 15. To have and to hold unto the said Henry Feaster, James H. Miller, Edward F. Vossler, Aaron Roby Sr. John D. Rinehart and Lafayette Smith and to their successors in office forever, for the purposes aforesaid, the above described tract or parcel of land with all and singular the appurtenances thereto belonging, with covenant of general warranty.
