| Will of Eliza Hilkey Laurel Dale P. O. W.Va. June 27, 1918 I give and bequeath to my brother Clayton Hilkey, for and the during his nature life, my general and undivided interest in and to all houses, lands and personal property. To my brother Naaman, one dollar. To my niece Bessie Johnson, five dollars. To my nephew Elmer Hilkey, if he be living, (but not to his heirs) a land note due me, from Elmer of five hundred dollars with accrued interest (date 1913). I bequeath to the Church of the Brethren all money I may leave, deposits in Banks, collections, from notes or Bonds, or collections from any source; to be collected gathered and paid over to the general Mission Board of the Church of the Brethren for use in the Mission field wherever they deem it is most needed; as soon after my decease as can be after necessary, and funeral expenses are paid. After the decease of my brother Clayton my part of share of the land (a one fourth undivided interest in all houses and lands now owned by myself and brother Clayton to be sold jointly with his, or divisionally, as may seem best, that the price may be the value of the land, or that it be not sold under value; and purchase money as it is collected all to be paid over to the General Mission board of the church of the Brethren for missionary purposes, and all money received from sales of personal property not bequeathed also paid over of my personal property I give to Elmer my parlor furniture, carpet, fixtures, books, pictures &c, also a bed and best dishes, silver knives and forks &c, if he is living & wishes them. To Francis Reid Kline I give the other carpets, a bureau cupboard, a good bed, table linens, and some dishes and anything she may desire in that line. It is my desire that there be no public sale of any property, but while Clayton is living he to have every thing to use as heretofore including live stock. I appoint my nephew Elmer Hilkey to be my administrator, and with the help or advice of w. H. Mnutzing or Jesse Ebert to pay over to the Mission Board the money. If Elmer is not living T. M.
