Deed � Rinker to Diver

This Deed made the 21st day of January 1868 between Daniel Rinker of the first part, and John Diver of the second part, both of the County of Grant and State of West Virginia. ??nefseth that the said Daniel Rinker for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand paid at or before the delivery hereof  hath bargained and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, and convey to the said John Diver a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the said County of Grant on the drains of Patterson�s Creek, bounded East by the lands of Charles Williams, South by a small tract of the late said Danl. Rinker and Thomas S. George, Southwest by the lands of the late John Rinker & North & Northwest by another tract of the said Danl. Rinker, supposed to contain one hundred acres more or less together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. And the said Daniel Rinker doth hereby convenant and agree with the said John Diver that at the time of the delivery hereof the said party of the first part is the lawful owner of the premises above granted and seized thereof in fee simple absolute, and that he will warrant and defend the above granted premises in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said John Diver, his Heirs and ?? forever.

I, Hiram Lyon, a justice of the County aforesaid hereby certify that Daniel Rinker whose name are signed to the writing above bearing date on the 21st day of January 1868 personally appeared before me and acknowledged the same ? under my hand this 11th day of March 1868.

West Virginia, Grant County:
On the 18th day of May 1868 � The within Deed was produced to me in my office with the certificate thereto annexed and admitted to record. And I further certify that the said Deed had thereon an adhesive stamp, property cancelled of fifty cents for denoting the duty imposed by the excise law.
