According to Ruth & Twila Heese research these graves are located on a rising knoll about one mile from Rt 42 on the Jordan Run Road. They are on the right side of the road near the middle bridge between the Hesse and Weimer farms.
They state the graves are dated Summer of 1867 or 1868.
These graves are the first wife of Christopher C Martin and her infant. She supposedly died during child birth and are buried beside each other. The infant was probably not named but the mother's name was Amanda Howard Martin. Daughter of Andrew & Harriet Jewell Howard.
They also stated that Mary Weimer, a great granddaughter of Amanda, said Harrison Taylor related to her that he recalled sitting on a fence barefooted , while watching the burial of Mrs. Martin and her infant.
*Note: According to records Amanda Martin died 5 Dec 1877. So I am not sure if the Harrison Taylor story would be correct or not. Judy Kimble
