Because as a Christian we must learn to forever rely on God to get where we are going. We must let go of all worries, let go of all resistance and realize He is there to love, help and protect us when we need Him and that is all the time. Yes, I know it is not easy to fully rely on Him because he is a God we really haven't seen with our own eyes and its hard to trust in someone we haven't seen, but we must know He is there. He is in the cool breeze you feel in the summer, the beautiful flowers in bloom, and the love and kindness you see in others. He is there in your lives you just need to look around and find Him and as for your problems, give them up for Him to heal, to fix and make all better! You may say that you have given your problems to God and He has never really fixed them, well its probably because you haven't truely surrendered them. Like a child that goes to his father to fix his toy truck but never lets go of it, how can the father ever fix it! So lets let go and let God! Let him take over your life and mold you into the best you can be. I again know its hard so lets take it one step at a time!
Father, I abandon myself into your hands. Do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you. I am ready for all, I accept all. Let only your will be done in me and in all your creatures. I wish no more than this O Lord. Into your hands I commend my soul. I offer it to you with all the love of my heart. For I love you Lord and so need to give myself into your hands without reserve and with boundless confidence, for you are my Father.
