MY HOBBY MONITORING EQUIPMENT FOR 49 MHz USAGE
PRO 2030 and 2035 Used for 49 MHz Monitoring
These radios are used occasionally to monitor 49 MHz walkie
talkies, and other 49 MHz transmitters.  The Pro 2035 is the main one used for AM radio 49 MHz transmissions since it can receive the AM signals.  The Pro 2030  was used before
this one came into place for NFM transmissions and loud AM transmissions.   Also other frequencies are monitored and logged as well.  Due to lack of outdoor antennas monitoring is set to occasional.   Both can be found on Ebay, Hamfests, and
flea markets.
This radio here was used back in 2000 to 2005 till it
broke and now I use a different base station that is green
colored and says 49N4AE on it.  The audio quality to the
transmitter is good but the morse code key is not good
performing.   Still had a good place for reference information
and codes on the flip stand.  Has power and transmit LED
lights.  Can be found in flea markets and some thrift stores.
Did You Know?
That 49 MHz radio can save your life in a event of an major weather event and
emergency if someone has a scanner radio and transceiver?  The best frequency is
49.860 MHz for AM mode Walkie Talkie communications.   When the power is out most baby monitors rely on AC current, so likely the band will be open for Emergency Communications!  Keep your radios on hand!
Most communicators like this can be made well with a
600 ohm microphone to make your rig sound alot more
better.  Also a good receiver such as a scanner or wideband receiver like the Icoms are good for receiving very weak
transmissions and if you're out of the baby monitor range
transmitters its likely you will hear weak signals far away. This radio came from Lillian Vernon and they used to offer
good rigs that are many duplex and 2 way type.
