Shri Agrasen Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Korba (C.G.)- Examination Time
Shri Agrasen Kanya Mahavidyalaya was founded in 1999 by Agrawal Sabha, Korba in Chhattisgarh State with the well defined objective of ensuring all round development and imparting quality education to girls in a secure and intuitive environment. The Agrawal Sabha, Korba – a registered body of Agrawal community has been working in the field of Girls’ education since 1991. It exercises its control over the educational institutions indirectly by limiting its role to providing much needed finance and infrastructure. It nominates the office bearers to Shri Agrasen Shikshan Samiti, Korba, the managing body for the educational institutions registered with the Registrar of Firms & Societies, which in turn looks after the management of educational institutions.

Situated in the heart of city, on Darri Road, Korba the college building is built on a land measuring about 1.30 Acre. The main building is surrounded by vacant land for playgrounds, cultural activities, canteen facility and space for parking of vehicles inside the secure boundaries of the campus.

The educational institutions which include the higher secondary school and this college for girls are functioning on its own resources generated by the funds provided by Agrawal Sabha, Korba and through donations from the members of Agrawal community who contribute generously for the cause. Reasonable tuition fee is charged to meet the regular expenses. Concession in tuition fee is given to poor students on case-to-case basis. 

The college is affiliated to Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur and runs various undergraduate courses in Science, Arts, Commerce and Home Science.  The college has faculties of Geography, Political Science, Sociology, History, Economics, Home science, Hindi and English in Arts subjects. In Science subjects the faculties are Mathematics, Microbiology, Botony, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science. Besides these the other faculties are Commerce and Home Science.

The students’ strength in college is about 400, number of teaching staff 19 and non-teaching staff 10 at present. The medium of teaching is Hindi and English both.

The college has a good track record of students’ participation in cultural, sports and NSS activities. The academic performance of students has been excellent so far and many students have been able to get their names registered in the merit list of the University.

All the physical and infrastructural facilities like computer, home science and science labs, library, classrooms,  furniture, play grounds, sports' equipments, laboratory equipments, computers, books and teaching aids are present and available to the students and teachers.
