Joel Gotz is currently the Choral Instructor at Southwest High School, and was previously the vocal music Instructor at Red Smith K-8, in the Green Bay Area Public Schools. His undergraduate degrees are from the U. W. Stevens Point in choral education and music in theory and composition. Mr. Gotz has taught music at all age levels and served as Associate Lecturer at the UW Marshfield. He has sung with the Green Bay Chamber Choir and the Central Wisconsin Chamber Chorale; currently he is singing tenor with the White Heron Chorale. He has an extensive music theatre background playing lead roles in GUYS AND DOLLS, OKLAHOMA, ANNE OF GREENE GABLES, and FOREVER PLAID. At the middle and school levels his directing credits are: ANNIE, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, FINIAN�S RAINBOW, MUSIC MAN (and MM jr), FOOLS, EVERYMAN, GUYS AND DOLLS jr. , ANYTHING GOES, OLIVER, and CHARLOTTE�S WEB. He has also conducted the pit orchestras for OLIVER, FORUM, ANYTHING GOES, and ANNIE at the U.W. Marshfield/Wood County Center. Mr. Gotz has been an active member of MENC, ACDA and serves as an adjudicator/clinician for WSMA music festivals throughout Wisconsin. Mr. Gotz is very proud of his rock and roll band, The Atomic Tail Fins. |
