Fiberglass taping the interior seam. After wrestling with it for most of the day to get the deck and hull joint to match up I strapped it to my bench in the basement and laid a single layer of 3" wide 6 oz cloth tape over the seam and wet it out as best as I could using a paint brush on a stick for the spots I couldn't reach. Managed to get a little epoxy in my hair during this step. Not too supprising given the tight area to work in.
A shot of the rear hatch and cockpit after both inside seams have been taped. I did most of the glassing inside the basement due to the cold temperatures in the garage. Its February after all! Makes for a limited work area but easy access to the beer fridge in the photo below!!!
The cockpit is all glassed in place as well as the Cheek plates visible in the center. These have slots in them that the seat back will hang from. Still need to finish the hatch lips that the hatch covers will rest on, run a strip of fiberglass along the outside deck to hull seam on both sides and of course a lot more sanding and a few coats of varnish to get this project out on the water!
