"Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific #2 "Aerotrain":  Built in 1955 bt General Motors, this highspeed passenger train would allow the railroads to meet the growing competition from autos and airlines.  The lightweight coaches were actually converted bus bodies.  There are 2 trainsets left, the other being located in St. Louis.  Both retired in 1966."
