From what I've found out about (and remember from the old games), Dupre was a paladin and the mayor of Trinsic, used to hang out in Jhelom, sacrificed himself to save Serpent Isle, was later resurrected to help defeat the Guardian, did a study of all Britannian pubs and taverns for the Brommer's Britannia series of travel guides, and can be found in Britannian taverns.

According to UO, in 2005, Dupre is a paladin of Trinsic, involved with the defence of Britannia, has served Lord British loyally, and is an important member of the Ruling Council.

It is possible the character is considered still alive in the online game. Maybe all there is to find is some sort of tributes to him in Trinsic for his service as Mayor and in Serpent's Isle for his sacrifice. Maybe he has a book in the Britannia Library. For certain, will have to check on all the NPCs in and around the drinking establishments, especially if there is a pretty waitress employed.

Pitr saw him when we defended against the Black Wisps near the Lyceum in 2007. Dupre was possibly the one to place the healer tents and defensive cannons.
