Jet Grind Radio
The Game Boy Advance version of Jet Grind Radio was on display at THQ's press event, and surprisingly, it retains much of the style and most of the gameplay mechanics of its Dreamcast counterpart. Like most extreme-sports-style games on the Game Boy Advance, Jet Grind Radio is viewed from an isometric perspective, and it has a control scheme similar to that of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games on the Game Boy Advance. The game begins much like its Dreamcast counterpart, with a quick tutorial on how to perform some basic moves and how to tag some of the objects in the environment. You can perform jumps, rail grinds, and wall grinds, get a quick boost of speed, and even grab onto the back of cars.
Tagging is accomplished by following directional prompts on the screen that will tell you which direction to paint in. Once you've completed the tutorial and assembled a small gang of inline skaters you get to move into the regular game, which is based on finding objects to tag while avoiding the police.
Vicarious Visions has done an admirable job of keeping the stylized look of the Dreamcast version of the game. The cel-shaded characters animate quite well, and the environments still look relatively vibrant. The music sounds similar to the tracks in the Dreamcast version, though they've been toned down to compensate for the Game Boy Advance audio hardware.
Released: 2003
GT Advance 3: Pro Concept Racing

THQ has released the first gameplay information on GT Advance 3: Pro Concept Racing, which was announced last November. The game, which is currently in development at MTO, will allow players to race in no less than 97 different customizable cars from 10 top manufacturers on an impressive 46 different tracks.
GT Advance 3 will boast graphics that are superior to those of its predecessors, with the addition of different weather effects, car headlights, and a number of different environmental effects such as shimmering streetlights. Other improvements to the series will include a new "drift combo" minigame in which players can unlock additional cars and courses by performing consecutive powerslides and drifts, as well as a two-player link cable mode that wasn't present in the Japanese version of the game.
Released: Spring 2003
Mega Man & Bass
Capcom has confirmed that it will release a Game Boy Advance version of Mega Man & Bass in March. The side-scrolling action platform game, which was originally released for the SNES in 1998, sees players assuming the role of either Mega Man or Bass as they attempt to save the universe from an evil character named King. As with most Mega Man games, players will encounter a number of bosses as they progress through the game, assimilating the bosses' techniques and weapons as they defeat them.
Release: in Europe on March 7 and in North America on March 11
