Game Boy Advance SP Review |
| I have played on the GBA SP and this is my exclusive review on what Nintendo's update to the GBA is like. This page should hopefully help you decide if you what to buy the GBA SP or not. |

| When I first looked at the GBA SP, I was shocked by the miniture size and the new unique design. The shape and size of the machine may make people think that its going to be uncomfortable to hold, but thats where your wrong, because its just as comfortable as the the orginal (GBA). Other good points about the machine is that the flip top screen that works perfectly. |
| The orginal GBA had complaints about the position of the buttons and the speaker. All these points have been modified such as the buttons are now easier to access, and the speaker doesn't get in the way of your fingers. The actual build quality of the machine is of a good quality as well. |
| Enough of the good points, lets get onto the bad. Although the pocket sized GBA SP is good for carrying around, it doesn't suit the market group they are trying to attract. The only reason why a update of the orginal GBA was released was because that they wanted to attract a older and more matured audience. This type of audience may find the GBA SP too small to control! |
| The light on the SP surrounds the screen brightly, but in a blue tint. I thought this was very poor considering that they are charging 90 for a machine with a blue screen. It may not be considered a manger problem, as the blue tint is unreconisable most of the time, but surely you would think that Nintendo would want there first illumnated screen to be done in the highest of quality (lets hope the Game Boy Elite doesn't suffer from the same problem). My last complaint about the SP is that it doesn't have a headphone socket, which for some games is vital, because it makes the game sound more relistic (you can buy an extra wire that lets you have the option of the use of headphone). |

| What if I've already got a GBA & I want a GBA SP? |
| If you have already got a GBA and want a GBA SP there are some great deals. The best deal i have seen is that you can trade in your GBA and get the GBA SP for 50. For UK residents your best beat is to go to your local gamestation shop. |
