F-Zero Maximum Velocity

Publisher: Nintendo
Developer: Nintendo
Genre: Racing
Multiplayer Link up: yes
Game Boy Advance struts its 32-bit stuff with the blazingly fast F-ZERO Maximum Velocity, a futuristic racing game inspired by F-ZERO for the Super NES and F-ZERO X for the Nintendo 64. All of the famous racers like Captain Falcon put their their driving skills to the test in 10 brand new high-speed hovercraft, six of which have to be unlocked by overcoming the competition.

F-ZERO Maximum Velocity features hovercraft racing in four different five-track series, plus a bonus track and a track that is only available in Single-Pak multiplayer mode. Jumps, speed boosts and other track features add to the high-speed challenge. The Game Boy Advance's L and R Buttons give you pinpoint control at as you roar through the twisting, trouble-laden tracks at speeds topping 500 kilometers per hour.

An especially good feature of F-ZERO Maximum Velocity is that four friends can race together using the Game Boy Advance four-player linking capabilities. If all players have an F-ZERO Maximum Velocity Game Pak, each can access all tracks and machines open on at least one of the Game Paks. If only one has a Game Pak, the race will take place on a special circuit available only in Single-Pak Link mode.

If you have liked the past F-ZERO racing series, get ready for more of the intense speed you've known and loved. If you've never played an F-ZERO game before, prepare to feel the G-forces. Below is overall sum up of the game, stating its good and bad points:
Bad Points: Some levels are so hard that you will find it difficult to complete. Also most of the tracks look very similar, so it gets boring quickly. I think that more variety is needed. There are also some other bad points stated below, which Nintendo need to address in there next instalment of the F Zero series.
Graphics: 9.7/10, the graphics use the GBA's complete power. The graphics cope perfectly with the speed.
Sound: 9.0/10, the sound is very realistic and it gives you the feeling that you are driving a super speed vehicle. The only let down is sometimes the speakers crackle because of high pitch gritty effects.
Mastery: 7.0/10, this game will take ages to master. The technique of the game takes ages to master, which is very tiring.
Lifespan: 9.0/10, the game will take you ages because there is so many options to complete.
Overall: 8.9/10
This game is good but it has its bad points, if you want a futuristic racer this is the game to get.
